Part numbers 11515 and 11540 are spring loaded lifters and feature a horizontal locking bar and standard push rod seat location.

Part numbers 11546 and 11548 use a vertical locking bar.  Part number 11548 has an 1.570" taller push rod seat location.

Part numbers 11540 and 11546 are a Pro Series lifter.  Pro Series lifters feature maximized lifter bore contact surfaces for less wear, weight removed from non-critical areas, and increased body stiffness.

CROWER LIFTERS

Crower lifters deliver 200% more life expectancy than competing brands.  A major breakthrough for the Crower lifters is the HIPPO (Hi-Pressure Pin Oiler) design.  This is a .024" hole placed directly from the oil band to the needle bearings which allows more oil to be delivered to critical high load areas for greatly improved cycle life.

FUEL NOZZLES

Most racers spend the bulk of their money on the latest and greatest cylinder head design then use nozzles that have fuel distribution as bad as 10-15%.  The very smallest differences in the hole size and machining marks around the inlet or outlet of the fuel orifice makes significant changes in fuel flows.

FUEL PUMPS

Every new engine that goes out the door is equipped with a Waterman fuel pump.

Waterman fuel pumps were engineered to withstand the punishment of competitive sprint car racing.  The fuel pump is designed and machined from billet aluminum and houses machined steel shafts and precision lapped gears.  Each pump is flow tested to ensure optimum performance and shipped ready to race.  Each pump comes equipped with a fully adjustable flange that allows you to rotate the pump for maximum clearance in the cockpit.

INJECTOR STACKS

Kinsler and Hilborn are the two most popular injectors on the market today.  We keep their stacks in stock at all times.

All Kinsler stacks feature their 180 degree top lip.  Since air flows around the top of the stack, Kinsler incorporated the 180 lip around the top to enhance air flow into the injector.  We have seen some horsepower gains on the dyno, but it all depends on cylinder heads, camshaft, and injector combinations.

We will cut to desired length for $50 extra, when you get them they will be ready to bolt on!!

KINSLER HI SPEED BYPASS

Kinsler Hi-Speed bypass valves are required to obtain optimum horsepower because the engine will experience a loss of volumetric efficiency at RPM levels exceeding that of peak torque. 

The advantages of this valve over the "jet can" type is that it has less internal friction, and it has a much larger area for the pressure to act on for regulation, resulting in a valve that opens at exactly the same RPM every time!  Easily adjustable using a common blade screwdriver and 7/16" wrench, no parts to drop or lose, and no dealing with leaking fuel when changing pressure settings.

NOZZLE LINES

These nozzle lines are capable of holding up to 500 psi of fuel pressure.

WATERMAN FUEL SHUT OFF VALVE

Waterman Racing's 3-way fuel shut-ff valve is designed to be mounted between the fuel pump and injector.  The major feature of this new valve is the universal -6 port.

The universal -6 port may be used for main jet check, hi-speed check valve, fuel pressure check, or can be plugged for use as a "two way" shut-off valve.

New for 2003 is the Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) gaskets.  These new gaskets were designed for the NASCAR Dodge engines which has an "open deck" block design- in which the cylinders are freestanding and there is relatively little flat surface for the gasket to grip and seal.  Fel-Pro transferred this technology to the small block Chevy and Wesmar has used these for the past year with positive results.

These same bearings are also available "coated".  Without getting into the scientific explanation of what these bearings are coated with, basically what it means to you is that the coating is a dry film lubricant that acts as a friction barrier, and has a built in corrosion resistor applied to it.  We all know that the less friction you have, the lower oil temperatures that come along with it equals more horsepower.

When ordering just specify "coated" along with part number.

COMPLETE ENGINES

Our 410 engines (pictured) and 360's come complete as you see in picture.

After engines are completely assembled, they are put through a series of dyno tests to get the fuel system dialed in, as well as engine timing.  After the dyno tests, we re-torque the heads, lash the valves, and install the oil tank so that when you receive your new engine, all you have to do is install engine, add oil, hook up your kill switch and go race!!!

CYLINDER HEADS

Every new 410 engine that goes out the door utilizes Brodix cylinder heads CNC ported by Weld Tech.

Since 1971 Brodix has long set the standard in aftermarket aluminum cylinder heads, starting with the basic 23 degree Chevrolet head.  Over the years there have been several other cylinder heads with different valve angles, valve centerlines, and ports and shapes.

In 1987 the late Kenny Weld approached several different engine builders with his idea of computer numerical controlled (CNC) cylinder heads.  Many people doubted him….. except WESMAR.  In 1988 we built the first engine in history to utilize CNC ported heads.  Today, they are the standard in almost every form of racing.

FRONT COVER

It's a shame that you have to cover up that nice Shaver-Wesmar gear drive, but we can't think of a nicer front cover to do it with than our own  billet aluminum cover.  After all your spending a pretty penny on your new engine, so why cover it up with a cast aluminum cover?

GEAR DRIVES

The Shaver-Wesmar gear drive was introduced to the racing public in 1995.  It is widely regarded as the best small block chevy gear drive on the market by our peers.

MAIN CAPS

MOTOR PLATE

This front motor plate is machined from 6061 T-6 aluminum.  This motor plate is lightweight yet durable enough to withstand the punishment of todays sprint cars.

PISTON RINGS

A good sealing engine is vital to an engines performance.  Childs and Albert rings provide us with a ring that has minimal drag tension for increased horsepower.  Based from experience and high praise from customers, these rings have very minimal leakage during leakdowns.

PUSH RODS

Wesmar uses Manley push rods with great success.  These push rods made out of 4130 chrome moly have meticulously formed ends with the exact radii.  They feature a swedged end that is heat treated with a black oxide finish.

REPLACEMENT SLEEVES

If the unfortunate happens when a connecting rod decides to exit the block during competition, chances are it will ruin the sleeve or sleeves.  If your pushing the legal cubic inch limit and need to go back to the standard bore size, we carry a full line of sleeves to get the job done.

MSD DIST GEAR

MSD bronze distributor gears are machined from AMPCO 45 aluminum bronze containing 5% nickel.  This combination creates high strength gear teeth that are less prone to wear even with high volume oil pumps.

OIL PANS

Designed specifically for sprint cars, this dry sump oil pan is the best on the market. 

The pick-up fittings are located on the front side of the pan for direct plumbing to the oil pump, inspection plug allows rods to be checked quickly rather than pulling the pan at the track in the event somebody protests your rods, pan uses a multi-scraper windage system which strips oil from the rotating assembly reducing windage for increased power.

OIL PUMPS

The Shaver Wesmar oil pump has been two years in the making.  After extensive R&D during the 2002 race season which saw Tyler Walker capture the World of Outlaws Gumout  Championship, this pump is the new rage in sprint car racing.

Featuring aluminum high helix twisted rotors, our pump reduces the weight up to 25% over conventional steel gear and gerotor pumps.  The high helix design provides up to 50% more volumetric capacity, greater hydrodynamic sealing, maximum crankcase vacuum, and is capable of rotating at engine speed rather than half speed.

INSPECTION LIGHT

These inspection lights are used to read your spark plugs to see if your engine is running a little too lean or too rich.

How many times have you gone to the doctor and he used the inspection light pictured on the right, to look into your ears?  This light is the best and most accurate way to check your nozzles!!  We can't stress enough to our customers that the old spray em' with brake cleaner and hold them up to the light is NOT good enough!!!  One look into your nozzles with this light and you'll be amazed at what you can see.

MOROSO SPRING CHECKER

Checking valve springs has never been made easier than with Moroso's spring checker.  This tool allows you to check valve spring pressures with the rocker arms on the engine to let you know if you have a spring losing pressure. 

We have found out from personal experience that the spring checker checks about 15 lbs. less than when our cylinder head dept. sets them up new.  Catch your dead spring now before you drop a valve tomorrow!!

OIL FILTER CUTTER

This is the nicest filter cutter on the market.  Every racer should own one of these tools for weekly maintenance.  Instead of using a pair of tin snips to cut the filter open allowing metal shavings to enter the filter, the wheels on this cutter follow the outside of the filter for a straight smooth even cut.

TIMING LIGHT

Checking or adjusting your timing is critical to your engine, and more importantly your pocket book!!  Too much timing can cause detonation, too little timing will cause your engine to be lazy and therefore won't reach it's full potential.

UNI SYNC


This Uni-Sync measures the relative airflow of one cylinder to another by the use of it's own built in air flow meter.  It is a valuable tool for synchronizing the throttles for equal opening at idle.  This helps smooth the idle and helps the engine at part throttle, or acceleration on the starts.

VALVE LASHING TOOL

How many times have you lashed your valves and thought there has to be an easier tool to do this with?  Instead of needing a wrench, feeler guage, and t-handle, the Full-Bore e-z wrench has the answer.  The wrench and allen t-handle are built into one piece for easier use.

VALVE SPRING CHANGER

This is the trickest valve spring changer we've seen in years.  We use them daily in our shop to remove springs during dis-assembly and during assembly of todays engines where the valve springs sit tightly together and it's impossible to get a socket between them.  This tool will do both the intake and exhaust, just slide from one spring to the next.

WEATHER STATIONS

Computech Systems has their popular Race Air weather stations in two versions.  The Race Air (pictured at left) gives you basic weather readings, then you calculate for jet settings.  The Race Air Pro gives you weather settings and calculates the jet settings for you.  It also calculates what your by-pass jet settings and pressures should be.  A definite must so you don't burn your engine down!!!

STAINLESS STEEL VALVE GUIDES
(Wesmar Exclusive)

We developed these trick guides for a few reasons:

They are made of high temp stainless steel.

They won’t burn off like your common bronze guides.

After time your valves will develop excessive wear, thus resulting in replacing the entire guide.  As most engine builders will tell you this is a time consuming process, due to knocking the guide out, installing a new one, then honing to your correct tolerances.  Then when you go to do a valve job, you have to re-locate your valve seat center so you can do a valve job.

With Wesmar's new stainless steel guides your time is now cut in half!  Simply remove the Winona heli-coil, and install your new one, then hone to tolerance and your done.  With these guides you never have to remove them, which in turn leaves your valve seats squared up.

VALVE LOCKS - DEL WEST

DEL WEST Titanium Valve Locks save approximately 3-4 grams per pair over chrome moly bar stock.  Del West’s special design “locks” the valve stem in the proper location-below the groove.  These locks are 100% CNC machined which in turn gives them an unparalleled surface finish and tolerance.

  • Compatible with titanium and steel valves

  • Available in a shoulder or non-shoulder design.  The shoulder design provides additional support for the valve tip, and can maintain capture of the steel insert itself.

NOTE: Shoulder locks can only be used on valves with a tip length of .290” or more.

WATER PUMPS

We carry two styles of water pumps.  The Shaver/Wesmar & KSE heavy duty water pumps are used primarily for 410 cubic inch engines that make more power than your standard 360.  The standard water pump by KSE is designed for 360 cubic inch engines.

In simpler terms, it takes a bigger water pump to cool an engine that makes 800 horsepower than it does to cool an engine that makes 630  horsepower.
